The new Provincial Hospital went into operation at the beginning of June 2010 after being renamed the Klagenfurt am Wörthersee Clinic. The project of the century in the capital city of Carinthia turned the hospital into one of the most modern health centers of Europe The new building not only improved processes but offers patients, employees and visitors an atmosphere of well-being. The new add-ons have a total floor space of roughly 71,000 square meters. More than 78,000 patients are admitted annually to the hospital, and approximately 300,000 patients are treated as out-patients each year. More than 4,000 employees work in clinical, commercial and technical occupations in order to provide patients with high-quality nursing and medical care.
